Paul R. Keating

Paul R. Keating, 87, of Oil City, PA., passed away  Feb. 21, 2026 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

          Born Sept. 27, 1938 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Byron J. Keating Sr. and Virginia Cubitt Keating.

Paul was a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph High School.

He entered the United States Army and was honorably discharged.

Paul had worked as a crane operator for Van Huffel, J & L and for Webco.

He was a member of St. Joseph Church, and volunteered countless hours, unlocking and locking up the church and doing various tasks,  he was always willing to help with whatever needed done.

He is survived by three sisters

Connie Keating of Oil City

Patricia Shook and her husband William of Seneca

Beth Rice and her husband Raymond of Cranberry

many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by brothers Edward, Michael, Robert and Byron “ByJoe” Keating Jr. and sisters Marilyn Hook and Sarah Courtney

Friends will be received in St. Joseph Church from 10:00A.M.-11:00A.M. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph with Fr. Daniel Hoffman, Presiding.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church Improvement Fund.
