Emma J. (Baker) Benson

Emma Jane Benson, 102, of Seneca, PA., passed away Feb. 17, 2026 at Shippenville Healthcare.

            Born March 29, 1923 in Franklin, PA., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Bertha Tingley Baker.

Emma graduated from Franklin High School.

She was married on Oct. 17, 1942 to Gus Benson and he preceded her in death in 1981.

A homemaker, Emma enjoyed reading her bible and spending time in the woods.

She was able to live independently until two weeks ago.

She is survived by two sons

Terry Benson (Margaret) of Seneca

Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Scott Benson, daughter-in-law Cindy Benson and sisters Treva Carey and Betty Porter and brothers Henry and Eddie Baker.

Their will be no viewing or visitation.
